I was on my way back to Eastwood when I “accidentally” saw a Fender MIJ Elemental Stratocaster.
Ok, I may have used the term accidentally loosely.
Very loosely.
I took an unintended detour that led me to the doors of JB Music.
Since I was already there, I just went in.
There’s no harm in looking right?
I’d already gotten caught a few days ago trying to buy a used guitar from someone on Facebook so there was no way I was going to get away trying to squeeze in a short guitar shopping spree.
And since we’re going home to Davao in a few days, I would like those last few days to be peaceful ones. No fights. No arguments. No new guitars.
But again, that didn’t mean I couldn’t drool over one.
I figured I had a few minutes to spare before raising any suspicion so I hurriedly went in and made a beeline for the Fender line.
(I kinda became a bit obsessed over Fender and Squier products ever since the Sonic line came out)
And there it was.
Protected by a glass case in a corner, the Fender MIJ Elemental Stratocaster.
I Wish I snapped More Pics But the Staff Were Suspiciously Eyeing Me
At first, I didn’t think much of it.
It was a Fender Stratocaster so of course I expected it to be beautiful.
But upon closer inspection, I noticed that it had some very interesting pieces of hardware on it.
The beautiful thing came with humbuckers!
Further down, I saw that it had a 2 point bridge.
But what was even more strange was the minimalistic pick guard.
Three chrome knobs?
What is this? I thought to myself.
Elemental?
What’s an elemental?
I had to know.
I went online right there and then but I couldn’t find any info about it.
So, I just snapped a picture and went out because I had spent a good 15 minutes just staring at it while ignoring all the other guitars in the store.

I then rushed to the bus stop and got home just in time to avoid a tongue-lashing.
Why Do I Fall in Love So Quickly?
As night set in and my time to log in for work I found myself reviewing the picture again and again.
And then I logged in for work and tried my best to forget the Fender MIJ Elemental Stratocaster.
I couldn’t.
So, during my lunch time, I made a more thorough search. I should be able to get the info I need right? After all, finding information is part of my job as an SEO Specialist.
And I finally found it.
The Elemental part of the guitar refers to colors inspired by the elements, namely earth, wind, fire, and water. Since the Fender Stratocaster I saw was white, I assumed it was inspired by air. And based on the name, it seems like I was right on that point.
What I saw was the Fender MIJ Elemental Stratocaster HH Nimbus White.
It’s designed specifically for exacting players who want a beautiful instrument in their hands that sounds amazing.
Fender does not disappoint on that part.
The modern modified humbuckers makes sure of that. You want a light and natural clean sound? No problem. Rough distortion? Same. These humbuckers were made for all types of sonic stuations.
And its looks are just the bonus.

I Love Her But She’s Too Much Guitar for Me
The Fender MIJ Elemental Stratocaster is a beautiful instrument. That’s a fact.

But along with that otherworldly beauty comes a price that not everyone can afford or willingly shell out.
I’m totally smitten by it.
But would I buy it?
Even if I could buy ten Fender MIJ Elemental Stratocasters in one purchase, I still wouldn’t do it.
Why?
These things won’t get played one bit.
And on top of that, if I ever get one, I’d have to build an entire room to place the glass display case that I would build for it to make sure no one accidentally touches it.
And then I’d add some high-level security systems and probably hire a security guard to make sure no one ever defiles it with their touch.
but just because I won’t buy it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. if you have Php 99,850.00, you can score one from JB Music in Araneta Center Cubao. If you want to go the installment route, it’s Php 8320.83 per month for 12 months which is cheaper by 4 cents if you check the total which would only be around Php 99,849.96.
Hehehehe that’s still a discount!
Ok, Bye Bye Happy New Year. Let’s welcome the Chinese New Year!
